Product Description
The Husky 30698 is a set of two 11-link replacement chains for the chain-lift (snap-up bracket) units on weight distribution hitches. On a chain-style weight distribution setup, these chains connect the end of each spring bar to the lift bracket on the trailer frame, and the number of links you hook up sets how much tension the spring bars carry. Replace chains that are stretched, worn, rusted or damaged.
Important: despite the "safety chain" wording in the item name, these are spring bar lift chains for weight distribution hitches. They are not trailer safety chains and should not be used to connect the trailer to the tow vehicle's safety chain loops.

Pro tipTow bar setup tips
- Rating first. The tow bar’s capacity must be higher than your towed vehicle’s loaded weight.
- Keep it close to level. Tow bar makers specify how far the motorhome hitch and the base plate connection can be apart in height — use a rise or drop receiver to bring them in range (see your tow bar’s instructions).
- Check base plate compatibility. Different brands connect differently; mixing brands requires the right adapter.
