Product Description
The Roadmaster 521463-5 is a direct-connect (EZ5-style) base plate kit made for the 2024–2025 Jeep Wrangler JL and 2026 Jeep Wrangler. A base plate mounts to the towed vehicle's frame behind the front bumper and gives a motorhome-mounted tow bar a strong, vehicle-specific attachment point for flat towing. With the direct-connect design, any motorhome-mounted Roadmaster tow bar attaches directly to the base plate's removable tabs, so no crossbar is needed, and the tabs come off when you're not towing.
Installation note from the manufacturer: trimming of the shock absorption pad, active air shutter or louver housing, lower air dam, air deflector, cowling and/or rock guard is required. To complete a flat-towing setup, pair the base plate with a compatible tow bar, safety cables, a towed-vehicle wiring kit and a supplemental braking system.

Pro tipBefore you order a base plate
- Match year, make, model and trim. Base plates are vehicle-specific, and trims with adaptive cruise, front sensors or a different bumper often need a different plate.
- Confirm your vehicle can be flat towed. Check the “recreational towing” section of the owner’s manual — not every car, transmission or drivetrain can be towed four-down.
- Mixing brands needs an adapter. Base plate and tow bar brands use different connection styles (for example, a Blue Ox base plate with a Roadmaster tow bar). We’ll tell you exactly which adapter you need.
Not sure what fits? Send us your vehicle — we’ll confirm before you order.
