Product Description
The Roadmaster 98164-7 is a 7-wire to 4-wire straight cord kit for connecting a motorhome's 7-way receptacle to a 4-wire towed-vehicle lighting setup. The 78-inch cord is designed to route through the cable channel of a Roadmaster tow bar, which keeps it from dragging on the road and gives the setup a cleaner look.
The kit includes the plugs, a socket and a socket bracket. The 7-way plug is prewired to the industry-standard wiring code; the second plug is installed after the cord has been routed through the tow bar channel.

Pro tipWiring and battery tips
- Protect the car’s wiring. Diodes or a separate bulb kit keep the motorhome’s lighting signal from feeding back into the towed vehicle’s electrical system.
- Watch the battery. Some vehicles drain their battery when flat towed; the owner’s manual will say whether you need a charge line or battery disconnect.
