This board produces the audible alert that warns you if the towed vehicle's brakes stay applied for too long. If the alert has stopped working, replacing this board restores that warning.

Pro tipSupplemental braking: what to know

  • Often required by law. Most U.S. states and Canadian provinces require brakes on a towed vehicle above a certain weight, and towing equipment makers generally expect one.
  • Match your motorhome. Some systems are designed for coaches with air brakes and others for hydraulic brakes — check which your RV has.
  • Portable vs. permanently installed. Portable units move between cars; installed systems are quicker to hook up day to day.
