Product Description
The Roadmaster 4000 Guardian is a folding rock shield that mounts to the tow bar between the motorhome and the towed vehicle. Made from rotationally molded, high-impact polyethylene, it absorbs rocks, gravel and road debris thrown by the motorhome's tires instead of letting them bounce into the towed vehicle or ricochet back at the motorhome, helping protect both against dings and rock chips.
The Guardian attaches and removes in seconds and fits all Roadmaster tow bars equipped with quick-disconnects. With the separate Guardian tow dolly bracket, it can also be used on a tow dolly to protect the towed vehicle.

Pro tipTow bar setup tips
- Rating first. The tow bar’s capacity must be higher than your towed vehicle’s loaded weight.
- Keep it close to level. Tow bar makers specify how far the motorhome hitch and the base plate connection can be apart in height — use a rise or drop receiver to bring them in range (see your tow bar’s instructions).
- Check base plate compatibility. Different brands connect differently; mixing brands requires the right adapter.
