Product Description
The Demco 6857 is a 12-volt battery charge wire kit that runs a charge line from the motorhome to the towed vehicle's battery, helping keep the battery from running down while the vehicle is flat towed. This matters most when a supplemental braking system or other accessories draw power from the towed vehicle's battery during the trip.
The kit has a built-in LED indicator that lights when a complete circuit is established, so you can confirm the charging connection is working. It also includes diode protection to prevent current from flowing back and integrated fuse protection for the wiring.

Pro tipTow bar setup tips
- Rating first. The tow bar’s capacity must be higher than your towed vehicle’s loaded weight.
- Keep it close to level. Tow bar makers specify how far the motorhome hitch and the base plate connection can be apart in height — use a rise or drop receiver to bring them in range (see your tow bar’s instructions).
- Check base plate compatibility. Different brands connect differently; mixing brands requires the right adapter.
