Product Description
The Demco 05408 is a replacement breakaway cable for Demco DA91, DA10 and DA20 hydraulic surge brake actuators. The cable connects the actuator's emergency (breakaway) lever to the tow vehicle, so that if the trailer separates from the hitch, the cable pulls the lever and applies the trailer's brakes. Replace a frayed, kinked or damaged cable before towing.
The cable is 3/32 inch in diameter and 42 inches long, with a hook end. The emergency lever itself is not included.

- Keep it close to level. Tow bar makers specify how far the motorhome hitch and the base plate connection can be apart in height — use a rise or drop receiver to bring them in range (see your tow bar’s instructions).
- Check base plate compatibility. Different brands connect differently; mixing brands requires the right adapter.
