  • Rating first. The tow bar’s capacity must be higher than your towed vehicle’s loaded weight.
  • Keep it close to level. Tow bar makers specify how far the motorhome hitch and the base plate connection can be apart in height — use a rise or drop receiver to bring them in range (see your tow bar’s instructions).
  • Check base plate compatibility. Different brands connect differently; mixing brands requires the right adapter.

Sometimes you just need a longer cable. These cable extensions provide the extra reach necessary when using drop hitches, hitch extensions or anything that increases the distance between vehicles. Vinyl coating prevents the safety cables from scratching surfaces while also protecting hands. Roadmaster cables are made from aircraft grade galvanized wire rope for superior strength, durability and rust resistance. Each kit contains two cables and two quick links.
