A base plate mounts to the towed vehicle's frame behind the front bumper and gives a motorhome-mounted tow bar a strong, vehicle-specific attachment point for flat towing. With the direct-connect design, the tow bar attaches directly to the base plate's removable tabs, so no crossbar is needed, and the tabs come off when you're not towing.

Installation notes from the manufacturer: the bumper fascia must be removed and reinstalled, some minor drilling is required, and the license plate bracket may need to be relocated. To complete a flat-towing setup, pair the base plate with a compatible tow bar, safety cables, a towed-vehicle wiring kit and a supplemental braking system. Always confirm in your owner's manual that your vehicle can be flat towed and follow its towing procedure.

Compatibility

2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

Fitment can vary by trim, bumper and options (such as aftermarket bumpers, winches or adaptive cruise control).
