When the tow vehicle slows, the trailer pushes forward against the actuator, which pressurizes the master cylinder and applies the trailer's hydraulic brakes in proportion to how hard you're stopping. The coupler accepts a 2-inch ball and the actuator bolts onto a 3-inch-wide straight tongue.

This model has an electric reverse lockout: a backup solenoid, wired to the tow vehicle's reverse lights, keeps the brakes from applying when you back up. The solenoid and a cover are included; the two mounting bolts are not.

Compatibility

Trailers with hydraulic disc brakes

3-inch-wide straight tongue (bolt-on)

2-inch hitch ball

Measure your trailer tongue and confirm your brake type before ordering.
