It is designed to be welded to the front of an A-frame (V-shaped) trailer tongue, and the EZ Latch locks automatically when the coupler is dropped over the ball. It is a good choice when building a new trailer or replacing a worn A-frame coupler.

Welding should be done by a qualified welder. Make sure the hitch ball and tow vehicle hitch are rated for the trailer's weight; the setup is only as strong as its lowest-rated component.

Compatibility

2-inch hitch balls

A-frame trailer tongues (weld-on)

A-frame angles and tongue sizes vary.
